Introduction
Department of Applied Foreign Languages
Based on the developmental goals of research and education, industry demands, future trends, knowledge advancement, and technological progress:
Since its establishment as a technical college, our university has been dedicated to cultivating numerous foundational technical talents, thereby stimulating local industrial and commercial development. Recently, there has been increased interaction with foreign nationals. Moreover, with Taiwan's membership in the World Trade Organization, international connections have become even closer, intensifying global competition. Following a restructuring, our department has firmly established an educational policy that integrates foreign language proficiency with professional competence, emphasizing both humanities literacy and information technology.
