Development

According to the educational objectives of our department, the development plans are as follows:

1.          Cultivating professionals in foreign language studies:

In recent years, local industries have experienced rapid growth, particularly in sectors requiring foreign language skills such as international trade, tourism, and culture. Therefore, our department focuses on language application as the teaching orientation to nurture professionals proficient in professional English tailored to industry demands.

2.          Enhancing Teaching and Research Quality:

Vocational education prioritizes teaching, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, and extracting research materials to balance teaching and research effectiveness.

3.          Professional Teaching Facilities:

Utilizing existing space, classrooms are designed to serve as AFL31 Multifunction Auditorium, AFL32 Multimedia language labs, AFL33 Professional Interpretation Room, Multimedia Self-access Center, AFL34 Multimedia Lecture Theater, AFL35 Multi-function Professional Room equipped with state-of-the-art teaching equipment. Additionally, facilities such as seminar rooms, translation studios, and self-study centers are planned to provide students with diverse learning environments and resources.

4.          Design of Modular Professional Courses:

To align with industry demands and future trends both domestically and internationally, our department offers two specialized modules: "English Teaching" and "International Trade". These professional courses integrate industry experts for collaborative teaching to enhance students' understanding of the field.

5.          Enhancing Student Participation in Short-Term Exchange Programs with Sister Universities Abroad:

Our university has established student exchange mechanisms with sister universities in countries such as the United States, Japan, Russia, Germany, and Hungary. Emphasizing the spirit of cultivating international perspectives and multicultural understanding, our department collaborates with the International Office to organize overseas exchange orientation sessions. We also invite alumni who have participated in such exchanges to share their experiences, aiming to attract more students to participate in short-term exchanges abroad and enhance their international competitiveness and cross-cultural communication skills.

6.          Cultivating Altruism and Social Responsibility:
Through teaching and mentoring in communities and remote rural areas, students can apply their learning to enhance practical teaching experience. Simultaneously, integrating university social responsibility practices, we provide resources and support to deepen students' altruistic spirit and social awareness capabilities.
